Minister's Bio

Minister Michael K. McFadden

Michael K. McFadden is a native of Philadelphia, PA, and a graduate of Howard University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He later completed a Master’s in Human Services with a concentration in counseling. A lifelong student of Scripture, Michael gave his life to Christ in 1990 and began pastoral training under the mentorship of the senior minister at the District Heights Church of Christ.

In 1995, he was ordained as the minister of the 13th Street Church of Christ, where he served for four years before planting a new congregation in College Park, Maryland. He currently serves as the evangelist at College Park Church, where his ministry focuses on preaching, teaching, and strengthening the body of Christ.

Michael’s approach centers on three foundational pillars: teaching God’s Word, offering spiritually grounded counseling, and training disciples to reproduce the church as modeled in Scripture. He believes real transformation begins with a renewed mind aligned with biblical truth. His counseling method goes beyond surface-level issues, addressing root causes through the healing power of Christ.

For Michael, growth in the church is not just measured by numbers, but by spiritual health and faithful service. He emphasizes that building a strong church requires prayer, training, transformation, and a deep love for the mission of Christ—seeking and saving the lost.

Reflecting on his journey, Michael shares: “My most profound moment was in Bible class, when I first discovered the truth.” That moment continues to shape his purpose: equipping the saints, sharing the gospel, and glorifying God in all things.
